Cassie is a New York City based choreographer and director with a passion for storytelling and a love of teaching. Her work is often recognized for its creativity, playfulness, and humor. She was selected as a finalist in the 2015 Capezio ACE Awards for choreographic excellence through Break the Floor Productions, Capezio, and Dance Spirit Magazine. In 2014, Cassie was
selected by Josh Bergasse to be his SDCF Observer for the Broadway revival of On The Town, and was featured in an interview with Dance Informa Digital Magazine about her experience. Cassie enjoys exploring choreography on film, and has choreographed numerous dance shorts, including “Pass the Hat,” to raise money for her former dance teacher in need, and was featured by Gavin Thomas on NBC News. She co-choreographed the feature film
Waiting in the Wings The Musical, where she had the pleasure of choreographing a tap number featuring Academy Award Winner Shirley Jones, and in February 2016, Cassie will start production for the sequel, Still Waiting. A California native, Cassie maintains an ongoing presence on the west coast and will be returning to direct and choreograph the Miss California Pageant and the Miss California's Outstanding Teen Pageant for the sixth time this year. Back in NYC, Cassie's work has been seen at the Salvatore Capezio Theater and at the prestigious BC Beat Choreographer's Showcase.
Along with developing new work, Cassie has a passion for teaching. She is on faculty at Peridance Capezio Center, Marquee Your Name In Lights
Convention, and at the Dance Project of Washington Heights.
