Gia Mongell is a native of Atlanta, Georgia where her love of performing began at the Atlanta Dance Theatre. During her summers she trained with American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Movement Invention Project and the Broadway Theatre Project. She graduated from Juilliard in May of 2014, receiving her BFA in dance as well as the President Polisi Artist as Citizen award. She has had the privilege of performing works by Pina Bausch, Nacho Duato, José Limón, Twyla Tharp, Mark Stuart and Christopher d'Amboise. Upon graduating, Gia became one of the original company members of An American in Paris, opening the show at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. She is currently a swing and the assistant dance captain in the broadway company of An American in Paris and performed in the 69th Annual Tony Awards. Gia is thrilled to be a LDC artist!
