Candy Tong

Candy Tong was born in San Francisco, California, where she later started her training at the San Francisco Ballet School under full scholarship. She graduated from the English National Ballet School (London, England) where she received a diploma in Dance from the Trinity College, worked with the company, and toured around England for their production of Le Corsaire. Candy has studied at the Pacific Northwest Ballet (Seattle, WA) in the Professional Division and trained under the direction of Drew Jacoby and Muriel Maffre. Prior to joining ENB, Candy won the title of Miss Dance of California in 2013.  She placed 3rd at Youth America Grand Prix and at the American Ballet Competition and was invited to participate in the Helsinki International Ballet Competition in Finland. Candy has had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers including George Balanchine, Helgi Tomasson, Drew Jacoby, Anna Marie-Holmes , Kerri Nichols, and Dwight Rhoden to name a few. Candy graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance from the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at University of California, Irvine (‘17) where she was able to complete the program in just 2 1/2 years .  Along with her dance career, Candy  has been invited to photoshoots all over the country as well as Paris and London and has been involved in global campaigns. Her work has been showcased at the Galleries Lafayette in Paris, New York Times, Huffington Post, Reebok, and on Nikon Europe's ad campaigns. She has been named as “10 most inspiring dancers to follow on Instagram” by Dance Informa. Candy has been interviewed and featured for POINTE magazine and DANCE magazine.
