Daphne Lee

International dancer and choreographer Daphne Lee began her dance training at the Rahway Dance Theatre under the direction of Ms. Jay Skeete-Lee. Lee graduated with Honors from the Ailey/Fordham with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Hollins University with a Master of Fine Arts in Dance. 


Lee has worked with Beyoncé for The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, participated as assistant choreographer for the musical, The Color Purple and appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Lee has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, been featured in Pointe Magazine and Dance212 Season 6. Lee has toured with 3x Emmy® Award-nominated, premier ballet collaborative—The Black Iris Project, Alvin Ailey II, Oakland Ballet Company, Collage Dance Collective and the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City. 


As an advocate for multiple myeloma cancer research and diversity inclusion initiatives, Lee remains an active ambassador for change. As a founder, Lee originated the Daphne Lee Artistic Legacy Award—a scholarship dedicated to women of color pursuing performing arts degrees. Also, in furthering her mission, Daphne Lee has partnered with businesses such as Beautycounter, The Chaine App, Gaynor Minden, and Nudebarre Tights.
