Stephen Agisilaou

With 20 years in the industry, Stephen is one of Australia's most celebrated and unique choreographic voices. From his Hip Hop roots to his ballet training from legend Gelsey Kirkland, Stephen brings a rare, diverse, wealth of knowledge and movement to all his artistic collaborations.


Stephen has served as a choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance, The Australian Open (Closing Ceremony), P&O International Cruises (Shows), Samsung (TV Commercial), The Venetian & Sands Hotel (Shows), Red Bull (Live Events), LoL Surprise Dolls (Launch Party) & Met Life Stadium (Quest Event).


His musical theater and opera credits include Spring Awakening, Good Morning Hong Kong, Blood Brothers, Prodigal, Black Diva Power, Twisted Broadway, and The Pajama Game. Stephen was employed by Opera Australia to assist them in casting the Broadway revival of South Pacific. Additionally, Stephen is resident choreographer for The Berkshire Opera Festival and director and choreographer of Anthony Breslin's immersive experience, TRYBE: An Opera In Paint.


Stephen’s work in film as a director, choreographer, and editor has been featured all over the world including The Queens Museum Of Moving Image, Palm Springs Art Museum, North Hollywood Film Festival, Swedish International Film Festival & WIND International Film Festival. His music video work includes Nocturnal Tapes, Andrew Swift, Clairy Browne, Abbey Stone & Nick Roy.


Stephen is currently Artistic Director for the non-profit The Palm Springs Dance Project California, Vertical Shadows Dance Company, and NOMADIC NYC Summer Program. He is also a preliminary judge for the acclaimed McCallum Theatre’s Choreography Festival
