Madison Hicks

Madison Hicks holds a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and an MFA in Choreography from California Institute of the Arts. She is on faculty at Break The Floor’s 24Seven Dance Convention, Steps on Broadway, Peridance, and School of American Ballet. Most recently, she received the Orsolina28 “Call for Creation” residency and was one of eight choreographers chosen for The Jacobs Pillow Ann and Weston Hicks Choreographic Fellowship. Madison has been commissioned by companies and institutions such as The Juilliard School, The Fordham Ailey BFA program, Peabody University, Vitacca Ballet, Wayne State University, Ballet Arkansas, Avant Chamber Ballet, and others. She was chosen as a choreographer for DanceLabNY and has movement directed the Opera, Elixir of Love. Madison has also choreographed music videos for artists such as Eleanor Kingston and Handsome Ghost, along with dancing in commercials such as Noosa Yoghurt and Lexus. She has performed works by Tony Yazbeck, Ohad Naharin, Kyle Abraham, Nacho Duato, and Benjamin Millepied to name a few. Madison has been a performer with LA Dance Project and Sidra Bell Dance New York. She is the director and founder of Moving Forward, a nonprofit organization that provides educational programs and creative opportunities for pre-professional artists. In her class, she creates a safe and open environment for artists to explore their creative voices through improvisation and phrase work.
